Substance Misuse and Recovery Services

Evidence Based Early Intervention

  • BASICS (Brief Alcohol Screening & Intervention for College Students) and CASICS (Cannabis Screening & Intervention for College Students): Offered to students at local colleges and universities who may be challenged by substance related issues.

  • Teen Intervene: Provided to high school students who are at risk for substance misuse. The program also serves as an alternative to - or a means of reducing - suspension for violations of a high school's substance related code of conduct.

Short-term Individual and Family Substance Misuse Counseling

Short-term counseling is defined as a relatively brief treatment intended to last between 6-10 sessions. Short-term counseling tends to focus on setting and achieving attainable goals within its limited time frame. At BRIDGES you will work on building trust, improving communication, establishing healthy boundaries, and practicing self-care to foster healthy family and/or individual dynamics that strengthen your mental health and/or recovery. 

Development/maintenance of recovery plans

Get support in identifying the people, places, and things that trigger substance use and create a plan to support your recovery goals.

Recovery Support Groups 

Meet with peers to discuss struggles, accomplishments, and support each other in recovery. 

Linkage to Community Support 

BRIDGES will connect you to appropriate recovery resources such as:

LICYPAA/AA/NA/ALANON, THRIVE Recovery Community, Pride For Youth, etc. 

Upon request, our Certified Recovery Support Advocate will accompany you.

Medication for Addiction Treatment (MAT) maintenance

Referrals for MAT induction available though our partners. BRIDGES offers MAT education and maintenance. 

Sober Curious Group

A supportive space for anyone interested in exploring their relationship with alcohol, whether you're cutting back, taking a break, or simply curious about living sober.

Quit smoking or vaping nicotine with a free 8-week in-person program for young people ages 15-20.
