Mental Health Services

Whether you are misusing substances and/or alcohol as a means of coping with stress, or looking for recovery support, your BRIDGES team is here to support your mental health.
Screening and Consultation
At your initial appointment, BRIDGES will explore your current concerns and personal history, using evidence based screenings to gain a comprehensive understanding of your substance use and mental health needs. When appropriate, medical screenings and medication evaluations are also available. Beginning with the first session, we continuously assess your strengths and needs to ensure you receive consistent, personalized support throughout your counseling journey.
Short-term Individual and Family Counseling
Short-term counseling is defined as a relatively brief treatment intended to last between 6-10 sessions. Short-term counseling tends to focus on setting and achieving attainable goals within its limited time frame. At BRIDGES you will work on building trust, improving communication, establishing healthy boundaries, and practicing self-care to foster healthy family and/or individual dynamics that strengthen your mental health and/or recovery.

Medical Screening and Medication Evaluation
A medical screening will be conducted by a licensed Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner who specializes in diagnosing and treating substance misuse and mental health needs. Based on your needs, we will determine whether or not medication is a good option for treating your mental health, substance misuse, and/or recovery concerns.
